 ARCs/Finished Copies for Review:

*WAKE by Amanda Hocking
{Snagged this one at work!  I'm excited because it's just in time for Splash into Summer!}

{Walden Pond Press and Christopher Healy sent me a lovely, finished copy.  Thank you so much!  *adores*  I reviewed this one during Fairy Tale Fortnight and have also participated in an excerpt/illustration reveal and a cover artist interview.  Check this one out!}

*A print from Victoria Caswell
{I won this from Victoria's contest that she hosted when opening her new web design business Sketcher Girl Studios!  Isn't she talented?}

*GIRL IN TRANSLATION by Jean Kwok
{This book is supposed to be fantastic, and the price couldn't be beat!}

 Borrowed:

*HOME FROM THE SEA by Mercedes Lackey
{Yay, more for Splash!}

*OFF BALANCE by Dominique Moceanu with Paul and Teri Williams
{If you were a fan of  1996 Olympic gold medal gymnast Dominique Moceanu, or the sport at large, this is a great book that goes behind the scenes of the work ethic and drive of an Olympian.  It also talks about Dominique's sister, who was born without legs and given up for adoption, but still able to make the most out of life in an inspirational fashion.}

*KILL ME SOFTLY by Sarah Cross
{I reviewed this one yesterday and loved it!  It's fairy tales, even though you'd never guess that from the title/cover!}

{Thanks to Liz DeJesus and Musa Publishing for a review copy! (And also, thank you to Marissa Meyer for pointing Liz my way! ♥ This is one fairy tale I'm excited to dive into! }

*BLACK CITY by Elizabeth Richards [Out Nov. 13, 2012]
{Thank you to Edelweiss and Penguin / G.P. Putnam's Sons for the review copy! I've been hearing great things about this one ever since the cover revealed earlier this year.}
*FALLING KINGDOMS by Morgan Rhodes [Out Dec. 11 2012]
{Thank you to Edelweiss and Penguin / Razorbill!  This is another 2012 Most-Anticipated Title that I freaked out over!}

What did you get in your mailbox this week?

Comments

  1. Great set! Girl in Translation is indeed wonderful. I have a review somewhere on my blog of it. I'm about halfway through Off Balance and find the gymnastics part fascinating and depressing.

  3. The Hero's Guide to Saving Your Kingdom, Falling Kingdoms, Elemental, and Black City all sound so good! Wake is still in my TBR pile, I hope it's as good as Amanda Hocking's Trylle series. Happy reading! :)
