{Month in Review+Preview} June Means...It's Summer!!!!!

Hello, Summer!

I feel like not much happened on the blog in June. ^^;;; I've been so busy with working that I'm too tired when I get home...and sometimes too busy in the morning getting ready FOR work if if I didn't wake up early to blog. I haven't read all that much, either. It took me almost three weeks to read my first BEA book, TRUTHWITCH by Susan Dennard, even though I was really enjoying it. The other books I've read this month were short, fast reads. I haven't read anything this week, yet, either.... Sorry, guys! (I haven't done much in the way of anything else, either, though, because...no free time!!!)

Buuuuut it's SUMMER. Don't you want to be outside doing fun things and not stuck to a computer screen anyway? I know I do!!!

FAMILY TIME.

I guess the only "big thing" I did was travel to New Jersey with my dad, sister, and niece to attend a family barbeque because my cousin was leaving for Coast Guard Boot Camp. It was awesome to see everyone again, because I get to see family so rarely. For one, they live two hours away. For another, the only time everyone gets together is during the holidays, and I can never get off work to go!!!! So that was pretty awesome.

MUSIC.

This past week, I've had holiday songs in my head due to the Fourth of July weekend.

Songs like" 花火"["Hanabi"]("Fireworks") byAAA:

and "Firework" by Katy Petty:

What can I say, I get into music moods!

Next month, I'm sure I'll have more to tell you because July will be stuffed with a NYC day trip and BROADWAY!!!!

MOVIES!!!

I saw Inside Out this month and really enjoyed it!!! Have you seen it yet? There was one thing that I exceptionally loved and one thing that exceptionally bothered me...neither of which will be picked up on by most movie-goers! I should make a post about them, huh? ^.~

Then, because I watched Inside Out and was in a Disney mood, I FINALLY pulled out my copy of Big Hero Six, which I bought the week it came out, and watched it. Again, I get into moods. I'll sit on something without reading or watching it for far too long!!! I wasn't expecting this movie to pack an emotional punch, but it does! It also suffers from the same problem that X-Men and The Avengers do, where it has way too many heroes and too few moments with each character on the big screen. I wish there was a way around that in all these superhero movies!

I also finally watched an old 80s movie called LadyHawke that author Alethea Kontis [ENCHANTED, HERO, DEAREST, TRIXTER] recommended. It has a very young Matthew Broderick and Michelle Pfeiffer in it! It doesn't hold my attention very well nowadays, but I can see how I would have loved it growing up if I'd known it existed!!

That was my June.

How was yours???

Here's a look at everything that happened in June!
