Week in Review: The Mega-Release Edition

T h e  M e g a - R e l e a s e  E d i t i o n !

So many incredible books came out this past week!  And so many more are coming out in the next couple of weeks.  September is CRAMMED with choices.  I received a few of the publishing world's offerings this week.

I know A Backwards Story has been lighter on reviews these last couple of weeks.  Everything I've been reading is about to come out or for future events, so I'm trying to hold off until closer to release so you can run out and buy the book.  For example, I have reviews scheduled for the next three days running.  You lucky bookworms! ^.~

*SWEET SHADOWS swag from author Tera Lynn Childs
{I got my Venom Squad Street Team Kit in the mail this week!  That means a giveaway for you! My pre-order of the book arrived yesterday, but I filmed Friday, so it will be in next week's vlog.}

*FATHOMLESS by Jackson Pearce
{I featured FATHOMLESS this summer during Splash, and Hachette/Little Brown was kind enough to send me a finished copy.  Will do a full review soon.  I have, however, reviewed both SISTERS RED and SWEETLY!}

*TILT by Ellen Hopkins
{Out this Tuesday, Sept. 11}
{Thanks to Simon and Schuster for the lovely finished copy.  I'll be reviewing this one on the book's launch day this Tuesday!  I finished reading it last night; it was my first novel by Hopkins.}

*ENTICE by Jessica Shirvington
{Thanks to Sourcebooks for once again including me in the blog tour for this trilogy!  I did a guest post with Shirvington for EMBRACE and will do another Monday, Sept. 17th.  Look forward to it!}

Purchased:

*THE TIME KEEPER by Mitch Albom
{I love Mitch Albom, whether he's writing fiction or non-fiction.  I love that his new novel is a fable about Father Time.}

*PRINCESS ACADEMY: PALACE OF STONE by Shannon Hale
{I love Shannon Hale, and one of my favorite books by her is PRINCESS ACADEMY.  A sequel to this? Yes, please!}

*DEFIANCE by C.J. Redwine
{I looked forward to this one for a while! I was so glad that it lived up to my expectations.  And the cover is so shiny that I needed a copy to call my own!  Will review soon now that I can do a cover anaylsis vlog with the post!}

E-Book Deals:

*UNDER THE NEVER SKY by Veronica Rossi
{I really wanted to read this last year, but never had time to.  When I saw it as part of HarperTeen's latest $2.99 sale, I snapped it up.  Want to know more about the sale?  Check out the info here!}

*EVE by Anna Carey
{I really wanted to read this last year, too, but again never had enough time. When I saw it as part of HarperTeen's latest $2.99 sale, I snapped it up. Want to know more about the sale? Check out the info here!}

E-ARCs:

*SHADES OF EARTH by Beth Revis
{Thank you to Edelweiss and Penguin Razorbill!  I reviewed the first book in the trilogy, ACROSS THE UNIVERSE, when it first came out.  I haven't had time to read a MILLION SUNS yet and was going to wait until I could read all three books together at this point. Now I can!}

*SPLINTERED by A.G. Howard
{Thanks to NetGalley and Abrams/Amulet Books. A. G. Howard was one of the first followers I ever had.  I've been watching her journey to publication with interest, especially since I love Alice in Wonderland.  I'm so hapy to have a copy of this to r&r!}

*WHEN SHE WAS GONE by A.G. Howard
{Thanks to Edelweiss and Simon & Schuster/Gallery Books. The tag intrigues me: "Tom Perotta’s LITTLE CHILDREN meets Alice Sebold’s THE LOVELY BONES in this suspenseful and beautifully wrought story of a seventeen-year-old girl who vanishes on the eve of her departure for college, as told through the alternating perspectives of her neighbors."}
