Week in Review: The Happy Nook Edition

T h e  H a p p y  N o o k  E d i t i o n !

My nook is so happy with me this week! For once, it got all the attention, not print books!

Thank you to all of the amazing publishers who have worked with me to share their upcoming releases for me to review for you!

...Especially Houghton Mifflin Harcourt.  I am drooling ALL OVER my nook and mourning the fact that I'm on a Book Reading Ban for NaNoWriMo, because I want to read everything right this second!  You are a siren in disguise, I swear...!

Physical ARCs/Finished Copies for Review:

*FOX FOREVER by Mary E. Pearson
[Out March 19, 2013]
{Thank you to Macmillan/Henry Holt!  I haven't read the first two books in the Jenna Fox Trilogy yet because I've been waiting to read all three together.  Now I can!}

E-ARCs for Review:

*DARK TRIUMPH by Robin LaFevers
[Out April 2, 2013]
{Thank you to Houghton Mifflin Harcourt!  You guys, I am going to have SO MUCH TROUBLE not reading this right away!  Stupid book reading bans!  This is the companion to GRAVE MERCY, which released earlier this year.  I reviewed it and LOVED it!!!}

*THE TWICE LOST by Sarah Porter
[Out July 2, 2013]
{Thank you to Houghton Mifflin Harcourt!  Again, I am going to have SO MUCH TROUBLE not reading this one ASAP due to stupid book reading bans!  This is the FINAL book in my favorite mermaid trilogy!  I've reviewed both LOST VOICES and WAKING STORMS, and Sarah is a sweetheart, and done both a guest post and interview here in the past!}

*BREATH by Jackie Morse Kessler
[Out April 16, 2013]
{Thank you to Houghton Mifflin Harcourt!  Finally, the Riders of the Apocalypse quartet concludes with Death's story.  I have been WAITING for this one!  I've reviewed HUNGER, RAGE, and LOSS, all of which can be read out of order.  These books are a great blend of fantasy and social issues such as eating disorders, self-mutilation, bullying, and suicide.  Jackie has also swung by a couple of times for interviews (I, II) during blog tour stops!}

*FROGGED by Vivian Vande Velde
[Out April 2, 2013]
{Thank you to Houghton Mifflin Harcourt!  This sounds adorable, and is a retelling of The Frog Princess where the princess turns into a frog when she kisses a prince!  I can't wait to review this one for Fairy Tale Fortnight next year!}

*SNOW WHYTE AND THE QUEEN OF MAYHEM by Melissa Lemon
[Out Dec. 11, 2012]
{Thank you to Netgalley and Cedar Fort!  I reviewed Melissa's first book, CINDER AND ELLA, during a blog tour, and also hosted a guest post with the author!  Look forward to another blog tour stop in the future for SNOW WHYTE!}

*SENSHI by Cole Gibsen
[Out March 8, 2013]
{Thank you to Netgalley and Flux/Llewellyn! I reviewed the first book, KATANA, and interviewed Cole during her blog tour!}

*SACRIFICE by Cayla Kluver
[Out now]
{Thank you to Netgalley and Harlequin Teen! I didn't review the first two books, so I have no links to you.  This series can be infuriating, but it's also addicting!}

*SPEECHLESS by Hannah Harrington
[Out now]
{Thank you to Netgalley and Harlequin Teen! This cover is AWESOME!  I'm excited about this one.}

FREEBIES:

{I forgot to include these in the video.  Ooops!
These were both free on Amazon earlier this week!
Hopefully Calibre will convert most of these for my nook...!}

*ELEMENTAL MAGIC by Angela Wallace
{I always love the elements!}

*THE HERO ALWAYS WINS by Robert Eaton
{I have wanted to read this since The Bookish Brunette first featured it on her blog because the cover is AMAZING.  I can't wait to see the sequel's cover!}

*CLOUD HORSE by Jill Pinkwater
{Agent Jennifer Laughran posted about this one on her blog.  You guys, if one of your top dream agents blogs about a book, YOU WANT TO READ THAT BOOK.  Period. The end.  Plus, it's about HORSES.  You know you want the horses!}

  1. Good luck with NoNoWriMo. I am a reader not a writer and will stick with my strength this month. Here are my new book posts at Inside of a Dog and Ms. Martin Teaches Media. Happy writing!

  2. I went over to check out two of the free books but they are not free anymore. Probably a good thing for my TBR pile. Here is my post:

  3. Nice haul this week Bonnie. It looks like you got some awesome books on your Nook this week. I didn't get anything as I was dealing with not having power due to the hurricane. Sure a lot of books will be coming in.

  4. Dark Triumph! Can't wait for that! I might have to see if I can snag an ARC for that haha.
    Also Snow Whyte and the Queen of Mayhem, I started like the first 5 pages, so far so good haha. I didn't realize she had more books, will have to go back after and read Cinder and Ella.
    Great haul! Thanks for visiting Bookmunchies (:
