Who are some of your favorite local authors? For me, I always enjoy running into Alex London, who wrote the gripping, action-packed Skybound trilogy. I got to meet Alex for the first time a day after BLACK WINGS BEATING debuted when he was in conversation with another favorite local author, Claire Legrand, at one of my local stores. There was even a Black Wings Beating themed drink, which you can see Alex drinking in this photo!
I've always wanted to be a twin (Thanks, Sweet Valley), and I loved the idea of this fantasy world with twins off on a dangerous adventure. Plus, of course, what is a great fantasy without killer falcons? I mean, obviously! It is always so amazing to listen to Alex talk about one of his favorite topics, falconry, and all the research that went into it for the trilogy.
Alex loves falcons so much that he has even been known to doodle falcons and birds when signing books! In fact, at his upcoming virtual Zoom launch party on September 2nd (more details below), everyone who attends will get to learn to draw some birds themselves. How cool is that!?

SUMMARY:
