Hi Bookworms! It's once again my favorite day of the week, A Twist in the Tail Thursday! I have been sitting on today's post since last Thursday, anxious for today to get here. Because today....we're talking about pretty new covers!

You may remember my review earlier this year when I gushed all over one of my favorite books so far of 2020, ALL THE STARS AND TEETH by Adalyn Grace. Or maybe you remember that time I did a sneak peek featuring the really unique mermaid lore from ATSAT before it released?

I even did a Cover Art Reveal post last year when the gorgeous cover REALLY brought the book to my radar, because it is truly stunning, and made me need this book like crazy!

If you've never heard of ALL THE STARS AND TEETH, or seen its cover, take a peek to the left (Isn't it PRETTY? Mermaids and kraken and pirates, oh my!), and check out my review (linked above), because guess what we're doing today?

That's right, we're about to discuss the upcoming sequel, ALL THE TIDES OF FATE, which just had a cover reveal last week! I am already SO HYPED for this book.

Now, before we start our chat, I do want to mention: Mermaids and sea monsters ARE a part of the tapestry spinning ATSAT together, but they are not the central elements or characters. So many people went in expecting something like TO KILL A KINGDOM by Alexandra Christo, one of my 2018 favorite books, which is all about the mermaids and the pirates. (Check out my review!), so they were a bit disappointed when this book wasn't also all about mermaids and pirates. I will say, however, if you go into this one expecting a high-sea adventure full of mermaids and pirates and sea monsters, they're all there, but they're secondary, and the book is about so much more than that, about the intensity and high stakes of the kingdom in peril. I cannot WAIT to see how these elements return and new themes are introduced because, well, first, let's look at this COVER!

Are you ready to see the cover and a summary?

Are you, are you?

Here we go!

Little known fact about me that I don't talk about a lot: Seahorses are one of my favorite animals. I am obsessed with watching them. (I probably blame the sea ponies from My Little Pony for this fascination...) The first thing I see when I look at this cover is that bad-ass seahorse! And I'm sorry, is it a villain?? Look at that tongue. I need to know more RIGHT NOW. Plus, it's on top of a volcano! Oooh, is this a hint of setting?? And look at that throne...and what are those bottles? Potions, poisons, something else entirely?

I loved staring at all the elements of ATSAT that brought the cover together, and picking up on new things everytime I looked, especially after reading it, and I can't wait to do so again with ATTOF!

And now, are you ready to check out the summary with me and wait with breathless anticipation until next February!?
