Can't-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted at Wishful Endings to spotlight and discuss the books we're excited about that we have yet to read. Generally they're books that have yet to be released. It's based on Waiting on Wednesday, hosted by the fabulous Jill at Breaking the Spine. |
Hi Bookworms!
Today's WoW just had an absolutely STUNNING cover reveal about a week ago. Absolutely jaw-dropping, wait until you see!
....Okay, okay, cover first? We can play that game today! ^.~
This anthology has been on my TBR for a while and seeing how it will look makes me want it even more.
I've been following Patrice Caldwell on Twitter for a long time and she is full of thought-provoking tweets, advice-filled tweets, tweets that bring awareness to important subjects people aren't talking about, and so much more. If you want a good person to follow, follow her!
In this anthology, she has gotten together sixteen authors, many whom I've read (or still want to read!) and I can't wait to see what new tales they have in store for us. I can't wait for whispers about what all the story plots will be!
I'll admit it: I always have a love/hate relationship with anthologies. I buy them thinking, "This time it will be different," and then, once again, they languish unread. I'm not a huge reader of the short story genre. They either move too fast and the author squished in too much and ran out of space, or they just...end, or you love it all so much that you wish it was longer! Sometimes, short stories become fuller novels later, but it's rare. But every time an anthology comes out, I always say that this time, I am going to give it more love and attention than I have previous anthologies. Help me keep my word next year, okay? Because I really DO want to read this! (And all my others, too... ^^;;;)
