Last week was so busy, I didn't get a chance to post as much as I would have liked!

But I really wanted to tell you guys; Last week, I interviewed Alexandra Bracken over at Broadway World to celebrate the release of her new novel THE DARKEST LEGACY and the fact that The Darkest Minds arrived in theaters earlier this month.

I've been REALLY excited to share our chat with you guys. I have a been a fan of the author since I picked up her debut BRIGHTLY WOVEN. I remember following her blog and seeing secret online scavenger hunts for teasers from the book she was working on, BLACK IS THE COLOR, which was later renamed THE DARKEST MINDS when picked up for publication. I've had the good fortune to meet her twice now, once at Jennifer L. Armentrout's first Apollycon, and then again earlier this year at the Book Expo of America thanks to Disney Books.

I feel really fortunate and lucky that I was able to chat with Alex about the book's release for BroadwayWorld. From talking about the new novel to her cameo in the movie to what she's working on now, I hope you enjoy her responses as much as I did!

Here's a snippet of what you'll see in the full interview.

What was your favorite book scene to see brought to life in the movie?

The director, Jennifer Yuh Nelson, played one of the takes they did of the Virginia Beach story for me while I was visiting the set and it pretty much made me cry. The version that made it into the film is even better.
