Book Signing Season Has Begun!
Despite the cold weather, Book Signing Season is already in full swing! Last week, I got to meet A.C. Gaughen and get her new novel REIGN THE EARTH signed, as well as her previous Scarlet series. She was in conversation with Tiffany Schmidt, who writes the excellent Once Upon a Crime duology, and it was lovely to see Tiffany again! This coming weekend, Susan Dennard (TRUTHWITCH) and Elise Kova (AIR AWAKENS) are coming locally to chat about their latest novels, and I can't wait to see them both again!
I'm always worried about making plans to travel to signings at this time of year. The weather is so nasty! But if nobody turns out, will the publisher ever return to the area with more authors??? Such a Catch 22!
STILL REGAINING MY BEARINGS?
We're already well into February, but I feel like I'm still "out of it" and just coming back into everything. There's no real reason for it. January is usually a pretty slow month. Yet somehow, I've still been super busy! Or just all-around tired. Maybe it's the Winter Blahs!!! But I've been reading a lot again and will have a lot of good reviews for you coming up!
DECEMBER/JANUARY BOOK HAUL!
Here's my haul for January...and December, too, since I never did a wrap-up last month. I almost didn't this month, either, even though I've had all the pieces for a week. It goes back to those Blahs....
Anyway, this haul is huuuuuuge!
Here's the video:
MUSIC 🎶
I haven't really listened to anything new recently. Still listening to Pink's Beautiful Trauma a lot. Mostly, I've just been listening to iTunes Playlist mixes!
MOVIES AND TV
I'm caught up on Once Upon a Time, so now we're onto The Gifted. But my dad just switched from Comcast to FiOS, and they've pulled older episodes of both The Gifted and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., so now we're not completely sure what to watch when I visit!
I went to the theaters over the holidays and saw The Greatest Showman, because OF COURSE I want to support musicals in any way that I can! I also watched Newsies on Netflix finally and just borrowed Despicable Me 3 from the library yesterday, but haven't watched it yet.
I'm planning to see Black Panther at the theater this month, too. It looks so amazing!
I've actually been watching a lot of TV this week because the Olympics are finally here!!!
Here's a look at everything that happened this past month!
