| I've had quite a few people comment on my nails in the past ask what I was using or wish I'd done a close-up so they could see better, etc., etc., and had a realization: Why not do a feature on nail polish? It's not book-related (Unless you're wearing the new HUNGER GAMES-inspired line from China Glaze, but I'm not even going into how wrong that is...), but it's fun. Plus, if I do this feature, I'll be more likely to re-paint my nails this week and less likely to let them chip their way to the bare bones (which would mean that I could see my nails...and if I see them, I want to bite them!). |
Welcome back to another edition of Mad About Nails!
It's been a long, long time since I posted anything about nails.
...Mostly because winter once again wrecked mine. I haven't even worn any polish in about a month now because I'm using some special nail treatments instead! Next week I think I can start back up, though!
Even though I'm not wearing any polish, it doesn't mean I haven't been keeping up-to-date with new polish coming out.
A lot of fantasy is on the horizon, too!
If you're a fan of gel polish...
Look no further than the pioneer brand itself, Gelish.
Right now, they have fairy tales in their eyes!
Even the display looks magical and classy...and I totally want it!

Looking Forward to Disney's Maleficent?
MAC is also collaborating with Disney to create nail polish, lipstick, and more. I just did a post spotlighting it, but take a look at the nail polish:
If you're a fan of textured polish...or mermaids...or both...
As soon as I saw an ad in Nails Magazine for China Glaze's new Spring collection featuring mermaids, I knew I wanted every single color. The names are fun, the colors are great, and they're all matte texture!
Just look at how pretty they look in person:
These came out in late January/early February. I saw a couple of bottles at my local Sally's Beauty in the clearance bin already, but I also saw a display still out at Ulta recently. So check your local stores and see what you can find!
Speaking of mermaid collections, Barry M is rolling out the Aquarium Collection (Check out UK blogger The Naily Mail's awesome coverage!) and Le Chat Nails is coming out with a new gel line entitled Mermaid Treasures. (At least, I think it's just gel. There's an image of a normal polish next to it, so I'm not sure. I'm going to have to do a little research!)
I don't know about you guys,
but I'm a sucker for themed nail polishes.
Even if I don't need them, when they're themed like this, I suddenly do need them.
