{Cover Reveal} NO ONE ELSE CAN HAVE YOU by Kathleen Hale

A lot of covers are coming out right now for Winter 2014. I'm dying for it to be January/February/March because these books are just so PRETTY! I can't stand it!!

Here's my favorite cover reveal of last week:

I think this cover is unusual, which makes it so much fun. I love the Penguin Threads line of classics being printed right now, where someone was hired to embroider the covers.

I have to wonder if HarperTeen asked someone to sew this image to become a cover! Isn't it great?

It's morbid, too. How do you show that a book is about death and murder without making it grotesque? Knit a scene! I think it's brilliant and unique and just oh-so-interesting!

What are your thoughts about the cover?

Author: Kathleen Hale
Release Date: Jan. 7, 2014
Publisher: HarperTeen

Small towns are nothing if not friendly. Friendship, Wisconsin (population: 688) is no different. Around here, everyone wears a smile. And no one ever locks their doors. Until, that is, high school sweetheart Ruth Fried is found murdered. Strung up like a scarecrow in the middle of a cornfield.

Unfortunately, Friendship’s police are more adept at looking for lost pets than catching killers. So Ruth’s best friend, Kippy Bushman, armed with only her tenacious Midwestern spirit and Ruth’s secret diary (which Ruth’s mother had asked her to read in order to redact any, you know, sex parts), sets out to find the murderer. But in a quiet town like Friendship—where no one is a suspect—anyone could be the killer.

  1. Hey! It's Kathleen (author of the book). Thank you sooooo much for putting up my cover! I'm so glad you like it. But just so you know, the description that you've posted is for another book. Just wanted to let you know! Here is the goodreads page for more info: http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/18052934-no-one-else-can-have-you
    Thanks again!!

    1. Ah, sorry about that. I usually don't have summaries on Cover Reveals. I tend to be lazy and overwrite my HTML from previous posts, and I wasn't scrolled far enough down to see that a summary was attached to the post I was using.

So sorry about that! I updated it, though :)
