The iconic children's fantasy series that set the world on storm, Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling, is getting a facelift!

ABC broke the news on Good Morning America this morning, and if you visit the website now,
Kibuishi told ABC, among other things, that “I wanted it to feel whimsical,” Kibuishi said, “Like an entrance into a fantasy world, but also like a perennial classic.”
Visit Kibuishi's website now for more of his exciting artwork!
Kibuishi is also the author of a popular middle-grade comic book series entitled Amulet, and I've often taken notice of the series before because the covers are always so striking!
What are your thoughts?
Are you excited to see the series get a facelift?
Are you married to the original?
I love this new cover. I'm definitely not going to buy them all over again, but I reallu like it.
ReplyDeleteI was skeptical about the news, but I've been pleasantly surprised. This cover is better than the original one; of course, I've never been a fan of the cover for the first book anyway. I always thought it was a little ugly. I'm curious to see what the other covers will look like.
ReplyDeleteI like it!! I shared the news on my blog today with a link to here: http://authorjess.blogspot.com/2013/02/whats-up-wednesday-timely-topics.html
ReplyDeleteWow! That's quite an impressive makeover. I LOVE it! Much better than the original cover for sure.
