"I get books to read and then ultimately share my thoughts about with my readers. As much as I want to, I can’t possibly read every book I receive. Yet, I still wanted a way to feature those books on the blog, even though it might not be in the form of a review. Problem solved! Every week I'd share the books I received that week... ones I'd bought, or gotten at the library, and ones that I'd receive to review on the blog. That way I could mention titles that might not otherwise get some face-time on The Story Siren..."
I find the same thing happening at A Backwards Story. I'm so backed up on reviews atm... That's why I like these videos!
READING NOW:
Nothing atm. Just finished INCARNATE by Jodi Meadows and it's one of THOSE books. You know, the ones that are so good, if you read anything else right after it, it will read like a piece of trash that you would have loved any OTHER time of your life. But not after something so incredible...!
READ THIS WEEK:
*CROSSED by Ally Condie
*THE ART OF FORGETTING by Camille Noe Pagan
*LEGACY by Cayla Kluver
*RHYMES WITH CUPID by Anna Humphrey
*EPIC FAIL by Claire LaZebnik
*INCARNATE by Jodi Meadows
REVIEWED THIS WEEK:
*THOR (Movie Review)
*SHATTERED SOULS by Mary Lindsey
*DRINK, SLAY, LOVE by Sarah Beth Durst
(Also, lots of breaking news in the book world this week, so multiple posts on that front)

My Very Unfairy Tale Life looks fantastic. It's like a book I would have devoured as a kid - and I'm sure I'll devour it now still. :D
ReplyDeleteI've been hearing a lot about 1Q84 - I look forward to seeing what you think because I'm so on the fence about whether to give it a try or not.
Such an excellent haul of books!!

Oh wow, you always get such good books! You have me really curious about Incarnate now. Before I was pretty sure I wanted to read it, but now I really want to read it :)
ReplyDeleteI have only read bk 1 in the 500 kingdoms, but I love the series and I want all of them.
ReplyDeleteHave you ever read any of Kristine Grayson's books? They are taking the fairytale characters and crossing them with our dimension. The only one I have read it Wickedly Charming and I loved it so much. I have slowly been collecting the rest of the series. Look into them if you haven't read them yet.
I will have to look up Incarnate, you sold me on it. Tempest I have to read, but not yet.
