I meant to post this last night, but I was EXHAUSTED. OMG, you guys, Kristin Cashore posted on her blog that BITTERBLUE is finally REAL! And coming on May 1, 2012!!!!!!!! And and AND! Publisher's Weekly has posted an interview with Kristin Cashore alongside a summary for everyone (like me) too impatient to wait until May!
I can't tell you how much I love GRACELING. It's an all-time favorite for sure. I liked FIRE, but not nearly as much as GRACELING...and since BITTERBLUE takes place eight years later (instead of, what, 30 years earlier?), so a LOT of characters will be returning. Yay, more Katsa and Po goodness!
Annnnnnnnnnnnd there will be almost 600 pages to devour and love. ALL RIGHT!!!!!!!
Okay, okay. Are you tired of listening to me fangirl now? You just want to see the pretty cover, right?
...Are you ready?
What do you think? I like how the keys are like weapons, which correlate to the sword and bow on the cover of the previous two novels. I want to know more about those keys!! And how cool is it that they're gold, silver, and bronze? Must know more noooooooooooooooooooow.
I'm going to reach through the computer screen and steal this book to read right now, so pardon me while I go off and read, mmm'kay? ^_^

ReplyDeletei love katsa and po!
i gotta say, whilst the red and blue covers are pretty, i think i love the graceling one the best.
Soooo, I have Graceling on my shelf, still unread. Fire is on my wishlist. Looks like I'll be adding #3 to that list too. My co-worker and I bought Graceling at the same time, but she read it right away. She said it was amazing!
ReplyDeleteHow have you been?
@Vic: How did you miss it? Go read FIRE! :) Although...Katsa and Po aren't in it! :( I think GRACELING is still my favorite cover, too!
ReplyDelete@Jen: I know, it's so far away! I liked GRACELING the best, too. I'm also excited for Katsa and Po to come back!
@Flashlight: Whaaaaaaaaat? Pick it up and read it, pick it up and read it!!!!!!!!!!
Ooooooooooooooooooooh.
ReplyDeleteI saw it here first and I'm very excited. :)
I'm just like you. LOVED Graceling, was kind of meh about Fire. I'm gonna name my first kid Bitterblue.
Ha.
Kidding.
Maybe.
I miss Po!!!!!!!!!
@Karen: I'm so glad I posted it for you to find. I was so happy when I saw Kristin's post. I was squealing all about it with fellow GRACELING fans at work! I miss Po, too. I cannot WAIT to see what he's been up to...and everyone else, too!
ReplyDeleteOMG THE COVER IS GOURGEOUS!!! But i'm in Australia and we get another cover, the one with the silhouette of the main character!!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's freaky how we have so many things in common. dance, mythology, graceling.. omg i think i'm gonna go read graceling and fire again.(so excited that I've foregone all proper punctuation haha)
-Brenda
@Brenda: That is freaky! We should totally chat sometime! I really love the silhouette covers, though. They make me drool!! Is your cover revealed yet?
