Today, I began prepping for next month's tour stop...annnnnnnnnnnnnnd something special that's coming, but mmmmmm, I'm keeping it under wraps for now! ^.~
I've been so excited about AUDITION. Not only is it a ballet novel... It's in VERSE. (Actually, there are a lot of verse novels coming out now; Ellen Hopkins really paved the way for other genres!)
AUDITION by Stasia Ward Kehoe
“I know I said I wanted this chance
To dare this dream.
Yet now I wonder how
They let me go--
Whether leotards and leg warmers
Will mask my sense of abandonment.”

This sounds really good, but so far I haven't been able to get into verse novels, they just don't go with the way my brain works.
ReplyDeleteI like the sound of this one! And I've been curious for some time. Just not sure how I'd like it... Hmm! Great teaser though!
ReplyDeleteMy teaser is from a book I absolutely loved; Divergent! Click to be teased!
I can't imagine leotards and leg warmers masking much of anything.
ReplyDeleteGreat teaser. Please check out my teaser.
I have this on my wishlist. I'm not normally into verse novels, but it sounds interesting.
ReplyDeleteMy teaser is from THE PREDICTEDS.
I've never read a book written in verses, but am looking forward to it. Enjoy!
