Yesterday, I asked a talented co-worker if she would make a cute picture for me that I could use in a header for my blog. Lucky me, she said yes! :)
I just need to come up with a cute idea that I can incorporate into a new layout. Any suggestions?
I want something that has to do with my blog, but something unique enough that it's recognizable. A lot of people have blogs that have people reading. I do want to incorporate books in some way, but I don't know if I want to do that.
It's funny; at work, one of my managers once called me a book dealer because I'm always loaning books to people (I think I was loaning out three that day), and I thought, "Oh, that would have been a cute blog name!" Too bad that boat has long since left port... That would have been a fab header, all spy-like and in shadow... Oh well!
So far, the only idea I have is sort of INKHEART-esque. Maybe someone in front of a book with the pages open (or just a book with no person behind it) and various book characters coming out of the book...because the story is being told in reverse//backwards. But I don't know.
I'm interested in hearing any and all suggestions. I'm sure y'all are much more creative than I am!!!
Thanks for any help! ^_^

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog at Hands and Home. You are right, us bloggin' Bonnie's DO need to stay together! ;)
ReplyDeleteThat is fantastic that you found someone to design a blog headder for you. I'm trying to think of an idea for you. Maybe an open book with blank pages and then the words are being pulled from the air and landing on the pages (from the bottom right up.. you know in reverse?). I don't know, I'm sure that I'm not articulating my idea very well! :)
The words falling onto the page is a cute idea. I think it would look cool.
ReplyDeleteHonestly, though, I liked your idea. An open book with all sorts of characters flying/falling out. That would be awesome. You could have all your favorite genres represented, plus a mermaid! yeah!
oohh...mermaids made me think...
What about something totally different? Maybe like a fantasy landscape kinda theme. Like Neverland-ish or something? I know it's not directly linked to the blog name, but it could still work.
