Most Exciting Titles Found at ALA Midwinter!

Sorry for any typos or lack of formatting...I wrote this on the train on my way to ALA,  Day II!

I really wanted to share some of the books I'm most buzzed about and share the excitement. Here's a list of my favorite finds yesterday at ALA!

THE RING AND THE CROWN by Melissa de la Cruz: I've never read anything by her before because I'm not into vampires (though I'm about to tuck into her new series FROZEN). This one, though?  High fantasy, my favorite!  Two princesses. One crown. Epic power struggle. Oh yes!

NOGGIN by John Corey Whaley: IDK what this is about but I've been meaning to read Whaley since he won the Printz... And now I can because Kat snagged me this!

WE WERE LIARS by E. Lockhart: Another member of Printz royalty!  I've read all of Lockhart's books and have already heard great things about this one!

DANGEROUS by Shannon Hale: She had talked about this book for SO LONG now. At BEA, there were postcards. Now there are ARCs. I swoon. ADORE SHANNON HALE!!!

DARK METROPOLIS by Jaclyn Dolamore: Another author that I love!  Been looking forward to this one since it was announced. Got to bump into Jackie yesterday and chat for real instead of on Twitter! Love her!

DEATHSWORN by Leah Cypess: Another author I adore. Another book I've wanted since the deal was announced. Assassins?  Yes, please!

REMNANTS by Lisa T. Bergren: I've done blog tours with Lisa before. It was a special treat to see her signing yesterday!!! We got to meet for real... And I got my long-awaited hug, lol!

DOROTHY MUST DIE by Danielle Paige: I'm not one for violent books but just the summary and teaser from this one gets me:
Remove the Tin Woodman's heart.
Steal the Scarecrow's brain.
Take the Lion's courage.
Then and only then—Dorothy must die!
One of the books I went into ALA hoping to see!

THE MURDER COMPLEX by Lindsay Cummings: I've known Lindsay through blogging since before she had a publishing deal. I don't know if this will be a "me" book because I tend to not read this genre... but it's Lindsay!

THE CASTLE BEHIND THORNS by Merrie Haskell: Want, want, want! I LOVED THE PRINCESS CURSE and can't wait for another fairy tale from her! I was not expecting to see this at ALA or looking for it but man oh man!

A WORLD WITHOUT PRINCES by Soman Chainani: The sequel to THE SCHOOL FOR GOOD AND EVIL, my favorite MG from 2013? Gimme!!! Another title I wasn't expecting to see at ALA!

DON'T LOOK BACK and WHITE HOT KISS, both by Jennifer L. Armentrout: Because what's better than ONE Armentrout book?  Two!

Kat's best finds were ODIN'S RAVENS by Melissa Marr and Kelley Armstrong And STRANGE AND EVER AFTER by Susan Dennard... but she'll tell you more later this week!

And the best books I found that I'd never heard of before?

DEEP BLUE by Jennifer Donnelly: First, I recognized the author's name. Kat was the one who saw the mermaid on the cover. It sounds INCREDIBLE. Kat even wants to read it, and she doesn't read mermaid books!

OVERBOUND by Corinne Duyvis: A mute servant who must protect a renegade princess?  How can this not be awesome!?

TAKE BACK THE SKIES by Lucy Saxon: I'm not into spaceships,  but a girl who disguises herself as a male and stows away?  Tamora Pierce forever made me love this type of hidden identity book. I blame her...

WHITE SPACE by Ilsa J. Blick: I have heard amazing things about this author and I love her agent, but then... zombies. Yeah, no. Not for me. Eager to try her now in a series without zombies!

FIRSTBORN by Lorie Ann Grover: A girl forced to live her life as a male in order to be considered a firstborn child?  Tell me more!

Which of these will you be adding to your TBR?
