Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish. Every once in a while I participate in this one when I either 1) Like the theme, and/or 2) Have the time! |
This week's topic:
Top Ten Books On My Winter TBR
Another 11 days and winter will OFFICIALLY be here! Brrr....!
You would think it was already here if you were staring out the window watching snow fall, like I am right this minute:

Looking out my bedroom window...! (Though you can't really see it falling...but IT IS!) |
Recently, I spotlighted five titles I'm dying to read that will happen this winter:
A CREATURE OF MOONLIGHT by Rebecca Hahn, SHE IS NOT INVISIBLE by Marcus Sedgwick, LOVE LETTERS TO THE DEAD by Ava Dellaira, DANGEROUS by Shannon Hale, CRUEL BEAUTY by Rosamund Hodge, and THE WINNER'S CURSE by Marie Rutkoski.
I won't go over the WHY again now...you can check out this link for more info!
Anyway, here are some books I KNOW I want to read this winter!
In no particular order...
I have been waiting so long to read INFINITE (And the novella, PHOENIX OVERTURE, which I preordered on my nook and never read b/c I wanted to read it during my series re-read!)
My Reviews Of: INCARNATE, ASUNDER

2) Various RAPUNZEL books!
Previous Events: A WEEK OF CINDER(ELLA), A WEEK OF LITTLE RED

3) PROPHECY and WARRIOR by Ellen Oh

4) COLD SPELL by Jackson Pearce
I love Jackson Pearce and have been coveting this one! I'm getting it for Christmas, whoot! So, so excited to read this. The Snow Queen is one of my favorite fairy tales, and I was so happy to hear that Pearce would be featuring it!
5) The Shadowfell Trilogy by Juliet Marillier
I adore so many of Juliet Marillier's books. When I heard that she was writing a YA trilogy, I was so excited! I decided to be brave and wait for all three books to be out before I read them. And since THE CALLER is about to drop in Australia, ARCs are already out for the USA. So I can read it! *squee* So, so excited. I started reading Marillier when all of her books were out in paperback. I have massmarkets of all her adult novels (Except HEART'S BLOOD, which I have as a bargain hardcover), and her teen books in trade paperback. So I haven't been buying SHADOWFELL yet. I'll get the first book for Christmas, borrow the second (until next year) in hardcover, and read the third digitally on my nook. Talk about one of everything!
My Review of HEART'S BLOOD

6) The Legend Trilogy by Marie Lu

7) The Under the Never Sky Trilogy by Veronica Rossi
This is a series I've been eagerly anticipating! I own the first two books, but have been waiting to read the series until all three were out. I can only handle so many dystopian cliffhangers at a time! I'm really looking forward to finally reading this trilogy!

8) PANIC by Lauren Oliver
I adore Lauren Oliver's writing. Her MG style and her YA style are different from one another, and I'm expecting her adult style to be different as well. I'm really excited to check out PANIC! It will be a edge-of-the-seat thriller, and I'm looking forward to it!
My Reviews Of: DELIRIUM, PANDEMONIUM, LIESL & PO

9) DEFY by Sara B. Larson
Okay, I have a weak spot for girls who disguise themselves as guys in order to do what they love in life because it is otherwise not possible. I blame Tamora Pierce and her Song of the Lioness Quartet. As soon as I heard about DEFY, I wanted to. There's even a prince and a sorcerer. I'm drooling!!!

10) THE ARCHIVED and THE UNBOUND by Victoria Schwab
I have followed Victoria Schwab since she revealed the cover of her debut novel, THE NEAR WITCH. I have loved seeing her grow and become so popular, and think she's a great writer. She's also very down-to-earth on the internet via her blog, Facebook, and Twitter accounts. I put off reading THE ARCHIVED, first because I had no time, and then because I heard the cliffhanger was NASTY. I'll wait and read both together!
My Reviews Of: THE NEAR WITCH
