Teaser Tuesdays: CINDER by Marissa Meyer

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading.

To participate:
*Grab your current read
*Open to a random page
*Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
*BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!) Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

I was so excited to receive an ARC of CINDER by Marissa Meyer last week that I dropped everything else and started reading. Granted, I haven't had much time to read a lot since getting it, so I'm only about halfway through, but I'm thoroughly enjoying myself so far. Plus, now we're getting to all the good stuff ^.~ Once I get done this post, I'm so going back to my book until I have to leave for work at 11...

CINDER by Marissa Meyer
(This ARC doesn't say don't quote, but since this book won't drop until January, I'm still only going to quote the opening to you. The first line alone tells readers that this isn't going to be your ordinary, run-of-the-mill retelling of Cinderella!)

“The screw through Cinder's ankle had rusted, the enggraved cross marks worn to a mangled circle.”

(~pg. 3 (technically 1...?) [ARC edition; changes may be made before book launches in print on Jan. 3, 2012.)
