Cover Crazy is hosted by The Book Worms. Each week, bloggers "admire the art and beauty of a book’s design, so I’m going to post minimal words. It is up to you to write how you feel and what you like about it the way you’d like to."

Why I Love This Cover:
Once again, the cover was one of the first things to stand out for JUNIPER BERRY (that and the fact that The Book Rat said it was a dark fairy tale and left an awesome review once she read it). I love this cover so much.
The darker shadowing around the tree and children paired with the dark orange sky leave an ominous sensation on my tongue. Plus, the tree is all gnarled with crazy branches…do you see those branches? I absolutely LOVE the way the title is made up of tree branches. Both creepy and cool! I also love the way the subtitle and author’s name are etched into the bark of the tree trunk. These images make me want to read the book now, now, now! (Guess it’s a good thing it’s my current read, then, huh?) Speaking of creepy trees, there’s also a black raven sitting up on a branch like he flew over from his last jaunt with Edgar Allan Poe.
There are some great pictures within the pages of the book, too, also by Erwin Madrid. This is one stylish middle-grade novel, with all the bells and whistles. Check out the book’s trailer and see some of the interior images for yourself (plus doesn’t its amazingness make you want to read this book, like, now? *delves back in*)
What do you think? What cover are you crazy about this week?
