Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading.
To participate:
*Grab your current read
*Open to a random page
*Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
*BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!) Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

"The day Melissa Miller killed her cat, she met the Angel of Death. Except he was no angel--and he wasn't there for the cat."
(~pg. 1 [Opening sentence of ARC; changes may be made before book launches in print THIS WEEK.])

Happy Launch Week to Jackie Morse Kessler! Have you read the first book in her Horsemen of the Apocalypse Riders Quartet? Because if you haven't, you totally should. I read/reviewed it last year and it was AWESOME! I finished re-reading it today before I started reading Rage. I decided to choose the opening paragraph of Hunger to match the one I chose for Rage. There were so many other sentences I could have chosen, though!!

"Lisbeth Lewis didn't mean to become Famine. She had a love affair with food, and she'd never liked horses...Lisa wasn't a Famine person, despite the eating disorder."
(~pg. 1 [From opening paragraph of paperback first edition])

I'm still reading Wizard's First Rule by Terry Goodkind, but I quoted from that last week. Plus, I don't think I picked it up recently. ^^;; I'm taking my time with it! I'm also reading The Goddess Test by Aimee Carter atm, but my nook isn't near me to give you a teaser! ^^;
