Can't-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted at Wishful Endings to spotlight and discuss the books we're excited about that we have yet to read. Generally they're books that have yet to be released. It's based on Waiting on Wednesday, hosted by the fabulous Jill at Breaking the Spine. |
Hi Bookworms!
I LOVE authors Brodi Ashton, Cynthia Hand, and Jodi Meadows. I've read them all since each debuted. When I first heard they were teaming up as the Lady Janies to co-write MY LADY JANE, I was instantly intrigued. Plus, there were to be three books about girls named Jane. I immediately wanted them all. But I wanted the one about Calamity Jane the most, and was so upset it was going to be the last to come out because the release was sooooo many years away.
Now, the release is only about half a year away. Now, we have a cover. Now, we have a summary. Now, it feels real!!!
I couldn't dedicate this week's Can't Wait Wednesday to anything else because I have literally been waiting years for this book!

O F F I C I A L I N F O:
Title: MY CALAMITY JANE
Author: Brodi Ashton, Cynthia Hand, and Jodi Meadows!
Author: Brodi Ashton, Cynthia Hand, and Jodi Meadows!
Release Date: May 5, 2020
Publisher: Harper Teen
Welcome to 1876 and a rootin’-tootin’ America bursting with gunslingers, outlaws, and garou.
JANE (a genuine hero-eene)
Calamity’s her name, and garou hunting’s her game—when she’s not starring in Wild Bill’s Traveling Show, that is. She reckons that if a girl wants to be a legend, she should just go ahead and be one.
FRANK (*wolf whistle*)
Frank “the Pistol Prince” Butler is the Wild West’s #1 bachelor. He’s also the best sharpshooter on both sides of the Mississippi, but he’s about to meet his match. . . .
ANNIE (get your gun!)
Annie Oakley (yep, that Annie) is lookin’ for a job, not a romance, but she can’t deny there’s something about Frank she likes. Really likes. Still, she’s pretty sure that anything he can do, she can do better.
A HAIRY SITUATION
After a garou hunt goes south and Jane finds a suspicious-like bite on her arm, she turns tail for Deadwood, where there’s been talk of a garou cure. But things ain’t always what they seem—meaning the gang better hightail it after her before they’re a day late and a Jane short.
