Top Ten Beach Reads!

 Okay, so these are books I've been saving to read this summer. Some are older titles that I never got to, and others are brand-new. I've already read three of them just this month! 

What do these books have in common? They all take place IN SUMMER!!!
And they're all contemporary. 
Because that just feels like the beach and summer to me! ^.~

In no particular order...

1) BE TRUE TO ME by Adele Griffin

Because summer romances! 

And TELL ME NO LIES just came out and is a companion novel--and it takes place here in Philly!!!

2) THE LAST THING YOU SAID by Sara Biren

Because summers at the lake. 

This one will be a sadder book, though, so get those tissues ready!

3) EVERYTHING ALL AT ONCE by Katrina Leno

Because cover love! Annnnd because the main character's aunt was a famous author!

Books about books and writing? OH YEAH!

4) FLIGHT SEASON by Marie Marquardt

Because what happens when you return home after your first year of college and see how much you and the people you grew up with have already changed and evolved?

5) STARRY EYES by Jenn Bennett

Because everyone is talking about how good this book is!

And because camping.

AND because Romeo and Juliet comparisons!

6) LISTEN TO YOUR HEART by Kasie West

Because that cover!

I just finished this one and it ACTUALLY takes place on the first day of school.

But the main character would rather be at the lake than at school!

And it's Kasie West. And super cute. So you're still winning!

7) WHEN DIMPLE MET RISHI by Sandhya Menon

Because summer programs and female coders!

I read this last year and just re-read it last month. I'm reading the author's new book, FROM TWINKLE, WITH LOVE right now.

So good, pick them up!

8) SHIP IT by Britta Lundin

Because Comic-Con!

I'm not sure when this book ACTUALLY takes place, but it takes place at a convention and I'm planning to read it close to SDCC in July!

9) SAVE THE DATE by Morgan Matson

Because large families are the best, especially when they get together for family weddings. And when everything goes wrong. And when hijinks ensue. And when Good Morning America even makes an appearance!?

10) STAY SWEET by Siobhan Vivian

Because ICE CREAM!!!

Seriously, how is it summer without ice cream?

And WORKING at an ice cream shop all summer with your BFF? While maybe also falling in love!?

Okay, yes!

BONUS: OPEN ROAD SUMMER by Emery Lord

Because my book went into hiding. I've read it too many times.
