I am so obsessed with the Once Upon a World picture book series from Chloe Perkins. 

Each book in the series retells a traditional fairy tale in a different country, proving that the stories can be told anywhere, by anyone. They're diverse and stunning!

So far, CINDERELLA (Mexico), SNOW WHITE (Japan), and RAPUNZEL (India) are available, but THE PRINCESS AND THE PEA (Russia) comes out next week! I can't wait to see which tale will be retold next.

Cinderella's dress is my favorite!! It's SO pretty!!!

Reading Snow White made me miss Japan so much. I love all the traditional elements such as teaching kids that not all bedrooms look the same--or even envision beds the same way!

Ohhh, this hair!!! And I love the way the background is colored throughout!!!
