I'm really excited to be on tour with The Irish Banana for debut novel OF FIRE AND STARS by Audrey Coulhurst. The cover is absolutely GORGEOUS, especially because OMG, THAT FONT!!!!

It comes out next week and is giving fantasy readers what they want: Not just a hate-to-love relationship, but one that's LGBT! It's about a girl betrothed to a prince...who falls in love with his sister the princess instead!

Can we stop and talk about that cover again?

I just love the way deep blue and gold go together, don't you? It reminds me of a night sky. The colors put me in such a dreamy mood, and make me calm and peaceful.

The cover made me want to put together an entire wardrobe based on this color spectrum. To me, if you're dressed like a dream, you'll feel like a dream. Peaceful colors always calm me down, how about you???

I went trolling around on Pinterest (So none of these images are mine!!), and found these beautiful companion pieces. Most of it is clothing related--especially nice if you're going to meet Audrey at a signing and want to match the book!!!

Nail Polish

We're starting with one of my favorite things...nail polish! 

I'm always on Pinterest looking for fun ways to show off my digits. I have at least four boards dedicated just to my nails.... ^^;;;;

The first thing I thought when I saw this cover was,
"I need to do my nails dark blue with a gold glitter gradient on top. HOW BEAUTIFUL!!!"

So before this post was ever a thought, I wanted to do that.

You have to finalize everything artistically up on top, too!!!

And with everything else being so stunning, you need some strong makeup to accent it all, right?


Clothing


You've done your nails and makeup. You've put on your jewelry and fancy accessories. All that's left is GETTING DRESSED!!!

For this book and its time period, I can't help envisioning a lot of flowy dresses sprinkled with glitter. I could also see some pant/top ensembles, but since my first vision is of dresses, here we go!
