Top Ten 2015 Sequels I Can't Wait To Get

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish.
Every once in a while I participate in this one when I either
1) Like the theme, and/or 2) Have the time!

This week's topic:
Top Ten (2015)Sequels I Can't Wait To Get

SEQUELS!!!!!

Don't you just hate when you read a book and then it ENDS and there's no sequel for another year (or more!?)? I know I do!

Here are ten sequels I'm highly anticipating in 2015!
(I hope to read ARCs of a couple of these before the end of the year, buuuuut I also want to read more 2014 releases for my Best of the Year list, so we'll see!)

In no particular order...

1) TEAR YOU APART by Sarah Cross

Out January 27, 2015
I am beyond ready to return to Beau Rivage for more fairy tale adventures. KILL ME SOFTLY was a true stand-out for me, one of my favorite fairy tale novels...and a book I would have never read if someone hadn't told me it was a fairy tale in the first place! I've been hoping and hoping that SArah Cross would come out with more tales from Beau Rivage, and she has. This is one of the ones I'm hoping to get to before the year comes to a close!

MY REVIEW: KILL ME SOFTLY, AFTER THE BALL

2) THE WINNER'S CRIME by Marie Rutkoski
Out March 3, 2015

I'm kind of afraid to read this, to tell you the truth. I've been sitting on it for a month already. I read the first book so early, and if I read this super early, well... I know there will be no ARCs of the final book, so it wil be a long wait. But I really, really want to get back to this world because it's so good! GAH, SEQUELS!

(I haven't reviewed this yet, because I read it over a year before it came out, and I haven't re-read it yet. I'm planning to do so before I read TWC, so look for a review in 2015!)

3) THE HEART OF BETRAYAL by Mary E. Pearson

Out July7, 2015

Another book I'm going to be afraid to read when I get my grubby mitts on it next year because, again, I know there will be no finale ARCS. Gah, Macmillan, you kill me. ^.~ I absolutely adored THE KISS OF DECEPTION. The back-and-forth was so well-put-together. I can't wait to see how the next book holds up! (And, if you want to know a secret...I've been voting for this one in the Goodreads Awards, even though there are so many great choices! Just because this type of writing is HARD!)

MY REVIEW: THE KISS OF DECEPTION

4) DEAREST by Alethea Kontis
Out February 3, 2015

Alethea Kontis is always a favorite of mine. She's a fantastic human being, and her books are just as wonderful! I'm really ashamed that I haven't already read DEAREST because I've wanted to for so long...and I almost picked it up last week! (But again, right now I'm ashamed if I don't read more 2014 titles so I can put a better Best Of list together...) I'm really excited to finally get to this one!

MY REVIEW: ENCHANTED, HERO

5) FAIREST and WINTER, both by Marissa Meyer

FAIREST Out January 27, 2015
WINTER Out November 24, 2015

Two books next year! Two, two!!!!! I'm very, very excited to see how everything will end. I'm also excited to do two week-long events. I had so much fun hosting A Week of Cinder(ella), A Week of Little Red, and A Week of Rapunzel. Not much longer until we can do more festivities!

My Reviews: CINDER, SCARLET, CRESS, GLITCHES, THE QUEEN'S ARMY, THE LITTLE ANDROID

6) UNTITLED by Sarah J. Maas (Throne of Glass #4)

Out September 10, 2015

Each one of the books in this series just gets better and better and better. HEIR OF FIRE really opened up the Throne of Glass world and matured the series. I am so excited to see where Sarah takes us next and get back to these characters!

To my everlasting chagrin, I never got around to reviewing the first book, THRONE OF GLASS, but Kat did during Kat's Korner! I've been waiting to review CROWN OF MIDNIGHT and HEIR OF FIRE together with her, but Kat needs to get a new computer before she can start reviewing again! ;_; ...Hopefully soon!

7) FRAIL MORTAL HEART by Zoë Marriott

Out Summer 2015

I've wanted to read this series since Zoë was still writing it! Japan and kitsune, what else do I need? ^.~ The wait for the series to come out State-Side has been killer (Book #1 just released this past week, while #2 came out in the UK over the summer...) I might just have to cave and import this series so I can read it in one gulp!

8) THE LAST EVER AFTER by Soman Chainani

Out July 21, 2015

I NEED TO KNOW HOW IT ENDS!!!! I'm so glad the finale bumped up to July because I'm struggling to wait. This series is so much fun, and after that ending, I need to know what fate has in store for all of the characters! Such a great middle-grade series!

MY REVIEW: THE SCHOOL FOR GOOD AND EVIL, A WORLD WITHOUT PRINCES

9) UNTITLED by Sherry Thomas

Out September 2015

Another finale!!!! I enjoyed THE BURNING SKY, and I really loved THE PERILOUS SEA. I must know the fates of Iolanthe Seabourne, Prince Titus VII, and the world they inhabit!!!! Such a long, long wait right now! (This is the problem when you read ARCs...the book may have only just come out, but I read it long before that, so it feels much longer!)

MY REVIEW: THE BURNING SKY, THE PERILOUS SEA

10) KING by Ellen Oh

Out December 31, 2014

Technically, this comes out on December 31st, but that is the closest you will ever get to 2015 without it being 2015, and I probably won't have a finished copy in my greedy hands until 2015. I don't know if I'll get to my digital ARC before it expires in December, either. I decided to wait and binge-read this series back to back instead of reading a book each year, and....I may be out of time in 2014 for it! But I am so excited to finally read this. I wanted this series before it ever had a cover, when it was just a publishing deal!!

What sequels are you looking forward to reading in 2015? ^_^

Comments

  1. OH MY GOSH, I DIDN'T KNOW KILL MY SOFTLY HAS A SEQUEL!!! THAT'S AWESOME!
I'm pretty sure Winner's Crime and Heart of Betrayal are going to make more than half of the lists out there. There are some books that just take the blogosphere by storm and those are it for this year.
