{You're Gonna Love Me} THE KISS OF DECEPTION by Mary E. Pearson

A sneak peek now, a full review when the book releases!

*dusts off feature*

I don't do You're Gonna Love Me posts nearly as frequently as I initially intended to. Then again, I try to read books close to their release dates, so there aren't often books to squeal about early. Basically, it's a feature to squee about books I really love that aren't coming out anytime soon. It's way too early to review them, but not too early to tell you to start salivating and adding it to your TBR List!

This month, I've been in such a high fantasy mood, and I couldn't resist reading a book that sounded absolutely amazing. I drooled every time I saw the summary.

Last month, Macmillan sent me a copy in a shiny black envelope, which mean that it's the BIG BOOK they're most excited about for the coming season:

The last time I got a new series starter in a fancy Macmillan envelope that became my next favorite thing ever? SHADOW AND BONE by Leigh Bardugo. I foolishly didn't read that for a long time, and then kicked myself.

I'm still suffering from a book hangover after finishing THE KISS OF DECEPTION by Mary E. Pearson. That's how I knew I had to bring back the You're Gonna Love Me feature!

This book doesn't come out until July 15th, and I'm already coveting a sequel!

This book. This book.

There are no words.
If you're a fan of high fantasy, this is a Summer Must Read.
There are princesses running away. And princes bent on capturing runaway princesses. And assassins determined to never let princes and princesses meet. And just plain all-around awesome sauce!
There's also a fun, tricky mystery for the readers to devour, and I'm still trying to figure out how I'll work it into a review without spoiling anything for you!
I'm actually glad I have a lot of time for this review, because I have no clue what to say. ALL THE FEELS!

THE KISS OF DECEPTION will appeal to fans of other high fantasy authors, in particular, Rae Carson (THE GIRL OF FIRE AND THORNS Trilogy).
Will you be reading this when it comes out!?

In this timeless new trilogy about love and sacrifice, a princess must find her place in a reborn world.

In a society steeped in tradition, Princess Lia’s life follows a preordained course. As First Daughter, she is expected to have the revered gift of sight—but she doesn’t—and she knows her parents are perpetrating a sham when they arrange her marriage to secure an alliance with a neighboring kingdom—to a prince she has never met.

On the morning of her wedding, Lia flees to a distant village. She settles into a new life, hopeful when two mysterious and handsome strangers arrive—and unaware that one is the jilted prince and the other an assasin sent to kill her. Deception abounds, and Lia finds herself on the brink of unlocking perilous secrets—even as she finds herself falling in love.

  1. OK, this post makes me really happy! I got accepted to review this book through NetGalley, and while I was already intrigued by the cover and synopsis, I'm even more thrilled to hear your words of praise. :D Sounds great!!

And I've still got to read Shadow and Bone...
