Week in Review: The Super Shiny Edition

T h e  S u p e r  S h i n y  E d i t i o n !

I love the way Macmillan always sends out it's Top-Marketed Books of the Season in shiny foil mailers! I received two of these beauties this week and dedicated this week's edition to Macmillan!

Again, I'm sorry for the lack of content this past week. I've been sick and haven't had the energy to post. I had a lot planned, too. I'll try to fit it all in this week, along with some other already-planned goodies!

READING NOW:

*FATHOM by Merrie Destefano

[link to my GoodReads account so you can see my blurb feed as I read]
READ THIS WEEK:

*THE SPINDLERS by Lauren Oliver
*THE GIRL OF FIRE AND THORNS bRae Carson {Re-read!}
*THE CROWN OF EMBERS by Rae Carson {Up WAY TOO LATE reading this in one sitting but it was unputdownable, my favorite book so far of 2012!}
*ENTICE by Jessica Shirvington
REVIEWED:

*EMBRACE and ENTICE, both by Jessica Shirvington
FEATURES:

*{Waiting on Wednesday} NAMELESS by Lili St. Crow

RECEIVED THIS WEEK:

Purchased:

*THE MARK OF ATHENA by Rick Riordan
{This is the third/middle book in The Heroes of Olympus series, which is a companion series to Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief.  I've been highly anticipating this one!  The cover is my favorite of Riordan's yet, and the book is his longest to date, too!!}

ARCS/Finished Copies:

*UNREMEMBERED by Jessica Brody
{Out March 5, 2013}
{Thank you to Macmillan! This is Brody's first series; her previous novels were all stand-alones!  I've wanted to read this since first reading about the publishing deal and was THRILLED to see Macmillan send it in a shiny pink mailer because it means it will be one of their most highly-visible/most-promoted winter titles!  I've reviewed THE KARMA CLUB and 52 REASONS TO HATE MY FATHER and have somehow never posted my review of MY LIFE UNDECIDED, though I KNOW I wrote one...hmmm...!}

*SCARLET by Marissa Meyer
{Out Feb. 5, 2013}
{Thank you again to Macmillan! This is the sequel to this year's fabulous CINDER, which I've reviewed, as well as featured an interview with series cover designer Rich Deas!  Macmillan sent this one in a scarlet red mailer, and I'm excited to see how heavily they still plan to promote Marissa Meyer!}

 Borrowed:

*IRON-HEARTED VIOLET by Kelly Barnhill
{I've been looking forward to this one!  Fairy tales and princesses?  I'm so in!}

 E-Books/E-Arcs

*TIMELESS by Michelle Madow
{Out Nov. 20, 2012}
{Watch out for an upcoming blog tour!  I previously reviewed the first book in this trilogy, REMEMBRANCE!}

*AFTER HELLO by Lisa Mangum
{Out now}
{"What if the first day of your relationship was the only day you had?"  This tagline alone has me intrigued!}

*17 & GONE by Nova Ren Suma
{Out March 21, 2013}
{Nova Ren Suma's latest mystery sounds even more intriguing than IMAGINARY GIRLS...which I have apparently not reviewed, either.  I always think I do somethinge and never do, sorry!}

 Ebook Freebies

*SWEET VENOM by Tera Lynn Childs
{I have a hardcover of this, as well as the sequel, but couldn't resist when I saw on Twitter that Epic Reads/HarperTeen was giving this out for free last weekend!  Sadly, I believe the offer is over now.  Sorry if you missed out!}

What did you get in your mailbox this week?

  3. Bonnie! I've missed you too, we both fail for coming to see each other lately ;P
    Family is doing great! Thanks for asking.
    I need to read the last Percy Jackson still, I have read through book 4 though ;)
    Also, I've had Cinder since release but still haven't read it. If it has a cliffhanger like that then I think I will wait until Scarlet comes out! LOL

  7. I have Scarlet and Iron Hearted Violet too! Unremembered sounds a bit different from what Jessica Brody normally writes – will be interested to see what you think of it :) And I hope you have a speedy recovery from being sick, Bonnie!
