IMM & Week in Review: The Mega-Signing Edition

IN MY MAILBOX: 02.05.12

In My Mailbox was created by Kristi at The Story Siren because:

"I get books to read and then ultimately share my thoughts about with my readers. As much as I want to, I can’t possibly read every book I receive. Yet, I still wanted a way to feature those books on the blog, even though it might not be in the form of a review. Problem solved! Every week I'd share the books I received that week... ones I'd bought, or gotten at the library, and ones that I'd receive to review on the blog. That way I could mention titles that might not otherwise get some face-time on The Story Siren..."

I find the same thing happening at A Backwards Story. I'm so backed up on reviews atm... That's why I like these videos!

*ARCs of both HALF-BLOOD and PURE by Jennifer L. Armentrout
(along with entry into blog tour's grand prize!) (until April 14th!)

*I'll choose winners tonight or tomorrow for everything that ended last night, since I don't have time before I leave!

*THE VICIOUS DEEP by Zoraida Córdova
*LOVE & LEFTOVERS by Sarah Tregay

[link to my GoodReads account so you can see my blurb feed as I read]

*BETWEEN THE LINES by Jodi Picoult and Samantha van Leer
*DON'T EXPECT MAGIC by Kathy McCullough

*THE MAN IN THE MOON by William Joyce

There are a couple of other books I tried really hard to review this week, and I never had time!  I'll try to get at least one more beyond my two tour reviews in this week! <3

*Movie (Based on Book) Trailer Reveal: RISE OF THE GUARDIANS
*Interview with Sarah Tregay (LOVE & LEFTOVERS) in Haiku Form {blog tour stop}
*Mad About Nails: {New Feature!}
*Hopefully This Template is Better... {Because the last one was messing up my formatting...}
*Book Signing with Ally Carter and Rachel Hawkins
*Book Signing with NYC Teen Author Festival's 66 Authors

The Mega-Signing Edition!

The NYC Teen Author Festival was awesssssssssssssome!  I was timid about talking to authors if I wasn't getting anything signed by them, even if it was due to the book not being in stock! ^^;;  But I loved talking to everyone I did get in line for!  I did a full write-up and a video of the books here!

I also finally got around to writing up my post on the signing I went to last month with Ally Carter and Rachel Hawkins.  Those ladies are HILARIOUS and I'd love to see them again in the future!

So this week is the Mega-Signing Edition, whoot!

*GRAVE MERCY by Robin LaFevers
{Amazing book!  Read as an ARC, but had to purchase this one!  Reviewed here!}
*THE BEAUTIFUL BETWEEN by Alyssa B. Sheinmel
{I finished reading my library copy the day before the NYC signing, then realized the author would be attending and bought a copy because I enjoyed it!}
*ICE by Sarah Beth Durst
{One of the first books I ever reviewed on my blog!  ICE made me love Sarah Beth Durst!  I bought a copy in NYC to GIVE AWAY to one lucky bookworm during Fairy Tale Fortnight!}
*EVERY YOU, EVERY ME by David Levithan
{Also bought for the signing!  This will be the first book I read by David Levithan that he didn't co-author!}

*SHADOWS ON THE MOON by Zoë Marriott [Out April 24, 2012/Out Now in the UK]
{Thank you to Candlewick Press! I imported this last summer from the UK, and Candlewick was kind enough to send me an ARC so I can review the differences for Fairy Tale Fortnight.  I reviewed the book here in January!}
*THE CHAPERONE by Laura Moriarty [Out June 05, 2012]
{I won this from LibraryThing and Riverhead Books!! Thank you! Pictured in video with Laura Moriarty's other three novels, which I've owned ever since seeing that favorite authors Jodi Picoult and Jacquelyn Mitchard BOTH blurbed her!}

 e-books for Review:

*THE VICIOUS DEEP by Zoraida Córdova  [Out May 01, 2012]
{Thank you to Sourcebooks Fire and NetGalley! I'm taking part in the official blog tour later this month, and will also feature the novel during Splash into Summer this June/July!}
*FALSE MEMORY by Dan Krokos [Out Aug. 14, 2012]
{Thank you to Disney Hyperion and NetGalley!  I've had this one on my TBR for a while!}
*A TOUCH OF GREEK by Tina Folsom [Out now]
{Thank you to Tina Folsom and NetGalley for the review copy!  I'll feature this some Mythological Monday to come!}

*DON'T EXPECT MAGIC by Kathy McCullough
{Watch out for this review during Fairy Tale Fortnight!}
*GATEWAY by Sharon Shinn
{This is the third or fourth time I've snagged this one from the library.  Maybe this time will be the charm...?  Everyone says great things about Sharon Shinn!}
*THE SCORPIO RACES by Maggie Stiefvater
{This is the second time that I've checked this one out at the library.  If I can slip it in this month, I can go to a monthly book club!}
